Remind your Senators: We want a vote on Stem Cell Research

From: Christopher Reeve Action Network:

Remind Your Senators:
Vote YES on H.R. 810,
No Amendments, No Alternatives!

As members of Congress return to Washington and work gets underway, it is time to remind the U.S. Senate that we are expecting a vote on the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act, H.R. 810. We look to U.S. Senate Majority Leader, Senator Bill Frist, to honor his committment from last year and bring H.R. 810 to the floor for a vote this Spring.

Many Senators, both Republican and Democrat, strongly support this bill in the Senate, and we're confident that H.R. 810 has a great shot at passing. But, we still have an uphill climb -- opponents of this bill are determined to defeat it. Their position is in contrast to the vast majority of Americans, who see the phenomenal potential of embryonic stem cells to help millions.

It is the will of over 100 million Americans who suffer from debilitating diseases and their families to see H.R. 810 become law.

Make 2 Calls Today
to Help Pass the
Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act,
H.R. 810

CALL 1: Please call your Senators and ask them to support a vote on H.R. 810 this Spring!

Ask your Senators to Vote YES on H.R. 810 with no amendments, no alternatives.

Remind your Senators that H.R. 810 passed the U.S. House of Representatives last Spring with the support of both Democrats and Republicans, and make it clear that you are counting on them to do the same in the Senate.

Let them know that this bill will allow stem cell research to move forward and not be held up in the United States.

Again, tell them it is not a partisan issue - this is an issue of seizing the promise and taking advantage of the opportunity to provide cures for millions of Americans.

Tell your Senators that now is the time to expand embryonic stem cell research by passing H.R. 810!

CALL 2: Call the office of Senator Bill Frist at 202-224-3344.

Thank him for his support of stem cell research and H.R. 810.

Remind him that he promised a vote on H.R. 810 this Spring and you are holding him to his committment to do so.

Make it clear, a vote for H.R. is the vote for which you and your family will be watching.

Let him know that only one bill makes sense for patients, and they are waiting for the Senate to pass H.R. 810, with no amendments and no alternatives!

Please forward this message to any friends or family members who care about this issue and whom you think would be interesting in joining the Christopher Reeve Action Network.

We can win this fight, but we need your Senators to hear from you, your family and friends, to keep the pressure on. Let us know about any action you take at Hope@ChristopherReeve.org.

There is no time to waste.

Urge your Senators to vote YES for H.R. 810 with no amendments, no alternatives!

Christopher Reeve supported embryonic stem cell research and SCNT, not for his own benefit, but for the millions of Americans who could live better lives through the advancement of research.

Tell A Friend about H.R. 810 and stem cell research!
